The glitter Queen

I’m not sure how many of you out there have actually worked with glitter, but I can tell you, that it gets everywhere!

Gets in your hair, gets on the tables, it gets on carpet, it gets on the camera, it gets on the backdrop, it gets in your fingernails, and it gets all over your model.

This was a concept shoot which I have to admit turned out so much better than what will trying to go for. The colour and the make up along with the hair on the backdrop on the ground just really made it for me. It has lots of depth and dimension along with drama and beauty.

It really is one of my better shots I think.

What do you think?

The dark side

Had the opportunity this evening to pop out and grab a few shots of a friend of mine before she leaves town. It was such a fantastic opportunity to catch up with her again and talk about……… well……. just random stuff really.

She is always a fantastic person to photograph and I must say I have really enjoyed the time I’ve spent with her over the shoots we have done, and it’s kind of a shame that she will be moving to Sydney. Hopefully one day in the future we will catch up again but if not I wish you all the best.

Safe travels my friend.

Halloween night… what a great night if you are into capturing some great images as people dress up for the event.

I am just about to head out and pick up a Snake and then off to get Medusa for what will be a very cool shoot…..  Very bloody excited I must say….

Here in Canberra we have a Zombie walk on tomorrow so in preparation we have armed ourselves to defend out path of dirt….

DANGER: You Are Mine!!!

I scared the pants off my self with this shoot… ha ha ha

It was a lucky shoot as we were up in the Snowy mountains shooting a dark bride theme and we found that the ski tube was vacant……  Sooooooo what else do you do when you have a model bride, fake blood and a vacant subway….

Take bloody Zombie shots of course… ha ha ha..

Enjoy.

I can shoot horses

For those of you that don’t know I come from an equestrian photography background. I spent many hours both in arenas and on the track and to this day I haven’t yet been run over, injured but I was a one point a little bit taken back when a rider decided to come very close to me as I was seated on the ground.

And I must say if that’s the only thing that happened to me in the years I spent sitting around these animals, that is a good thing.

I was just flicking through some old photos and came across this one and thought I would share, as it shows the strength and confidence on the rider, and I think has a really nice feel to it.
