Sexual violence in our culture exist for many reasons, but one thing is for sure that it is not and never will be the victims fault!!!

People have the right to wear whatever the hell they like, and just because they choose to wear something which some person finds provocative does not give that person the right to force sexual violence on another.

We are not animals, who have control over our actions and we are held accountable for those. Shifting the blame to someone else because of our actions is just plain wrong.

Red My Lips (http://redmylips.org/) is about awareness, and about educating and changing culture and putting the responsibility back onto the people which deserve it…..  and that my friends is the people that perform these acts on others. The spineless people seek pleasure and power by controlling others.

Please share this image to create awareness and change culture.

Red My Lips!!!!! – #RedMyLips

The month of April is about raising awareness that sexual violence and victim-blaming is NOT OK!!!!

To do that RedMyLips.org run a month long campaign where you are encourage to wear red lipstick and throw a couple of bucks their way.  When I found out about this I put the call out to my friends to see if anyone would be involved in a photo shoot where they get to wear red lippy and show the world they stand together against sexual violence and victim-blaming.

This in itself raised awareness and I amassed a small army of people ready to get their photos taken…  To all of which I am very grateful for not only their time but their commitment in supporting such a cause as short notice.

This is the first of these images…..  So sit back and watch them over the course of the rest of April…

Happy Easter Everyone!!!!

Easter means different things to different people.  For some its about Jesus rising from the dead, others it about eating chocolate, while others it is a super long weekend to relax.

For me it’s a new beginning, as it represents new life, a time where we get to eat a lot of chocolate, relax and think about where we have been, and where we are going.

As I reflected over the last few years I remembered a self portrait Easter photo I took back in 2012.

Looking at this photo is reminded me that taking photos can be a lot of fun and while I take my business very seriously it is the silly and stupid moments that really stand out..  The memories of life, captured a frame at a time.

The fun and creativity that photography allows is something most of us never really play with…  So as you stuff your face with eggs and bunnies today…  have a bit of fun and try not to take life to seriously…

Go capture some great fun images and send them to me, as I would really love to see them and share them with the world.  🙂

Happy Easter and take it easy.

One of the great things about Easter is you get to eat lots of stuff that you don't normally eat... Strobe Info: 1 x 580 EX II rear left 1/32 power 1 x 580 EX II rear right 1/32 power 1 x Elinchrom Ranger Quadra with 100cm x 100 cm soft box.

Want to know what is boring about sunsets?

In that case don’t ask me… ha ha ha

Man, I could watch sunsets everyday, and in fact I almost do when I am at home or out on set.  The beauty that is in the sun going down is only beaten by the sun coming up in the morning..

It makes me feel alive and connected with what is around me…. be it people, pets, animals, nature, country, city and my chickens…   bwhahahahah…  Sorry I was watching them free range around the yard with the sun setting and boy, oh, boy they have it tough…..

Anyways… back to my sunset….

I hope you had a fantastic weekend and that you got out, and had a bit of fun.  If you had a wedding or some other event… congrats on getting through it, as they can be stressful leading up to them, but they are a lot of fun on the day/night…

Oh one small thing… If you did have an event, how come I wasn’t the event or wedding photographer…  You know my number right??????? If not pop over to my contact page and write my number down……   😉

Till next time enjoy you Sunday night.

SSSSSSSSS is for Snake!!!!!

I must say I am a bit of a fan of snakes.  I like the way they look and their skins is sooo soft and smooth.  They also demand respect especially here in Australia where we have the most deadly snakes in the world.

Luckily for us this snake is not venomous all and was relatively well behaved. 🙂

I must say I really like the effects on the pupils for this shot when shooting in the dark… I makes her eyes almost look like black holes where you can get lost in.

Indiana Jones comes to mind when I look at this image.. Its like she has a whip in her hand and is ready to cracking it.
